‘Tis the season for peppermint mochas! Ah, those warm, delicious mugs of deliciousness that just to happen to be terrible for us. No problem. We’ve got a Vegan Peppermint Mocha that satisfies without the sugary syrup and lab-grown chocolate flavoring.
A rich, chocolaty peppermint mocha with no dairy or sugar.
- In a large mug, add hot coffee and 1-2 teaspoons of Lakanto Drinking Chocolate and stir vigorously to dissolve. Add monk fruit sweetener (if desired) and peppermint extract, one drop at a time, to taste. Tip: Drop the extract into a spoon, then stir into the coffee.
- Add almond milk to a mug or frothing pitcher and froth for 1-2 minutes with a handheld frother. If you have a cappuccino machine with a steamer, use that.
- Pour frothed or steamed almond milk into coffee mixture and enjoy.
Top with a spoon of whipped coconut cream or sprinkle with Lakanto Drinking Chocolate, if desired.
