We talk a lot about knowing what’s in our food and controlling ingredients. Nothing lays a better foundation for that practice than eating local produce, and farmers markets are the perfect way to sample what the season has to offer.
This summer, we’ll be shopping from local producers throughout Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin to create an “Eat Local” series of simple and healthy recipes that feature locally sourced ingredients.
We’re not asking you to save the world, but encourage you to join us in taking a manageable healthy step by eating your veggies while supporting local businesses and farmers in your own community. If we can do it, anyone can…and everybody wins.
