Since TikTok’s Dip King is making cottage cheese cool again, we’re jumping on the bandwagon with a healthier version of the famed Fat Free Cottage Cheese Queso.

Yes, even healthier. We’re using our own fajita seasoning blend, which is salt-free and sweetened with Lakanto Classic. Does it really make that much of a difference? Um, yeah.

We don’t mean to throw shade at Kinder’s, but salt is the number one ingredient in their Fajita Blend (packet and canister). That’s why it’s no surprise to find 770mg of sodium in a 1.5 teaspoon serving. Double that to get the tablespoon it takes to make the Dip King’s version of this receipe and it’s a BP busting 1540mg of sodium. And while we’re at it, the second ingredient listed is brown sugar, which adds an extra 2g sugars to the macros.

We can all do better with flavor and spice over salt and using Lakanto Classic instead of sugar knocks the 2g of sugar right out.

  2. Transfer to a bowl and serve or portion out into four individual servings.
